National Research Presentations
/We've been very busy presenting our research findings at major conferences in the field. Conferences are a great way to learn about up-and-coming research from experts in the field and give our students a chance to network with other faculty and graduate students. Importantly, conferences provide our students with the opportunity to present their research to many individuals in the field.
In April, 2017, lab members traveled to the Society for Research in Child Development in Austin, TX. During our time there, we met up with several DUCK Lab alumnae, including doctoral graduates Dr. Candace Lapan, Dr. Stephanie Miller, and Dr. Melissa Rogers, former postdoctoral fellow Dr. Megan Geerdts, and previous undergraduate research assistants, Kara Lowery, Dr. Alison O'Leary, and Dr. Sabrina Thurman. We always love to take time out of our busy conference schedules to catch up with our alumnae!
In June, 2017, several DUCKies attended the Annual Jean Piaget Society Conference in San Francisco, CA. The lab directors and graduate students were joined by undergraduate research assistant Natalie Suchy, who was able to present a poster on the research that she worked on under the mentorship of Dr. Marcovitch. We are very proud of Natalie and all of our DUCKies for representing the lab in such a wonderful way!
